Staff Picks- Fearrington Village

Updated: Sep 29, 2020

After all of the wonderful feedback from our "favorite things" post last weekend, we just can't resist doing it again!

This weekend we're in a charming home in Fearrington Village. For those that are unfamiliar with this neighborhood, the homes here are mostly set on wooded lots, but conveniently located right off 15-501. As you enter the neighborhood, their Belted Galloway goats and cows greet you and make this little piece of Southern Heaven worth any drive.

While you're in Fearrington Village, make sure you take a jaunt through the downtown area where you can get a closer peek at the animals and check out the many wonderful shops and restaurants! Their book store, McIntyre's Books, is beautifully curated and they sell tons of fun gifts too! It's one of our favorite spots to pick up stocking stuffers for Christmas!

I digress. This neighborhood is wonderful but so is the sale that we're hosting there this weekend! Here's what we picked out as our favorite items in the sale.

Lyn picked a kitchen item... Which is no surprise. Lyn's happy place is her kitchen and she's always cooking up delicious meals and loves hosting large gatherings! Her specialty is Italian foods.

For her items this weekend, she picked this cute little Himalayan salt grater. It's only $10 at our sale! Which is more than half off the retail price!

It looks cute on either a dining table or in your kitchen so that it's within arms reach when you need a dash of salt!

Lyn says, "#saltlife" ... She's also a beach girl. ;)

This is how to keep your company happy! Especially if they love coffee as much as Tobacco Road Downsizing does!

Morgan's item this weekend is a little bit bigger than last weekends pick!

Our client believed in making her guests feel at home, so she set up this adorable coffee bar in her breakfast nook. It has space to display those gorgeous pottery mugs you can't resist (we have several to offer this weekend- including tons of North Carolina pieces!) and the top has a Keurig, a Nespresso machine and a selection of teas so that your guests can help themselves to a warm beverage!

Surprise, surprise. Mariah picked this gorgeous sterling silver ring. Morgan and Mariah both love jewelry! This weekend we have some beautiful pieces of sterling, gold and costume jewelry!

Tag sales are the best place to pick up jewelry! The prices are better than retailers and you can often find quality pieces that are both unique and beautiful. We even sell designer jewelry!

As a pro-tip, we recommend you get to the sale early if you're interested in the the jewelry because the best pieces typically go quick! Also, make sure you bring your own loop to check for hallmarks and a small basket to collect your treasures in! Fine jewelry is always kept at the checkout counter or at a special table devoted just to jewelry.

Don't forget! If you have a topic you'd like to see more about on our blog, we want to hear about it! If you write about your topic, we'll give you a $25 gift certificate to use at any of our sales! That's enough to buy you that salt grater and then a cute piece of pottery! Score!
